Corsair has just announced the K70 Pro TKL, its first ten-keyless keyboard with Hall effect magnetic switches.
Magnetic Hall Effect switches have completely taken over the keyboard market over the last couple of years, bringing fantastic gaming-focused features like Rapid Trigger, SOCD, and more.
Enthusiast-level brands like NuPhy and Keychron have released multiple HE keyboards so far, but some of the gaming industry’s biggest brands following suit.
Corsair joined the fold back in August 2023 with the full-sized K70 Max, and now the California-based company has revealed a ten-keyless version - the K70 Pro TKL.
This new keyboard uses its in-house MGX Hyperdrive magnetic switches, which require a pretty standard 30g to 55g of force to actuate depending on where you set the actuation point.
It sports one of my favorite keyboard features, a physical knob for volume control, as well as two buttons beside it. One for media control (it defaults to play/pause) and the other to toggle game mode on and off.
There are no wireless connections on the K70 Pro TKL, which allows Corsair to offer an 8,000Hz max polling rate powered by their own Axon technology that offers seriously low latency and superb response time.
Corsair's K70 Pro TKL also includes a wrist rest for customers who don't want to sacrifice ergonomics while typing. Although it’s not common for gamers to want to use a wrist rest, adding one in the box not only increases overall value but also makes it nice for everyday use outside of gaming.
I can confidently say that because… I’ve already been testing it. Corsair was kind enough to send one over to support the launch of Pickle Tech, and I’m excited to say that my next in-depth review will be the K70 Pro TKL.
Stay tuned for that next week, and subscribe to keep up with everything related to keyboards, mice, and more.
