Logitech G finally launches new sim-racing accessories

Logitech has launched a new line of G Pro racing wheel accessories that includes new wheels, an upgraded shifter, and more.

The G Pro racing wheel came out back in September 2022, as Logitech's first attempt at a high-end, direct-drive wheel. I reviewed it for Dexerto almost a year later and fell in love... but was left disappointed after realizing they only offered one style wheel and didn't revamp the existing shifter.

It's been almost a year since my review, but Logitech has answered my prayers by releasing a whole slew of accessories for the G Pro wheel.

The biggest new toy for sim-racers is the 2-n-1 RS Shifter & Handbrake. It's a sequential shifter, which is disappointing as a fan of the traditional H pattern, but it's nice how it doubles as two different products. If you want a sequential shifter and a handbrake at the same time, however, you'll have to buy two. At $150 a piece, it's gonna get expensive quickly.

Logitech also released a handful of really awesome wheel options, including an adapter to use any aftermarket quick-release wheel that you would buy for your project car... if you have one, that is.

The products I'm most excited about are the RS Wheel Hub and the new round and track wheel options. Logitech went against the grain with this release by separating the hub and wheel shapes, as it saves customers money in the long run.

Instead of paying $200 or more for each wheel like you would with other brands, Logitech is letting you buy one RS Wheel Hub for $150 and each wheel for $70. After the initial investment into the hub, you'll be able to save money with any new wheel shapes you might want.

I don't know when I'll be able to check out any of these new products in person, but the launch of these new accessories is exciting because it shows that Logitech is still invested in the platform.
