Razer Viper V3 Pro Faker Edition review: The best mouse yet
The Razer Viper V3 Pro is the best gaming mouse i've ever used, hands down.

After weeks of testing Razer’s Viper V3 Pro Faker Edition mouse, I’ve confidently found my new favorite PC gaming accessory.
When I first started PC gaming, I went through a wide variety of mice to find a solid shape and layout that fit my extra-large-sized hands without any issues.
One of the first mice that actually impacted my interests was the original Razer Viper Ultimate, but since then, nothing that I’ve tried has really piqued my interest to the same level.
That is, until I got my hands on the Viper V3 Pro, specifically the limited-edition model designed by esports star Faker, and found myself in love with a mouse yet again.

Design, features, and performance
When it comes to mouse designs, the Viper V3 Pro Faker Edition is one of the coolest-looking mice I’ve been able to test out so far. It’s not often you see a red mouse from a major company, but the dragon design on the back and Faker’s signature on the right button is, to put it simply, super freakin cool. There’s no RGB lighting, which is very much one of my favorite parts about the design.
It features six programmable buttons, which I have found to be just enough for most games, and connects to your PC by using Razer’s Hyperspeed Wireless dongle. It works great, and I didn’t have a single issue with how it performed while playing Warzone and Marvel Rivals. Due to the size of the dongle, though, Razer couldn’t find a way to store it inside the mouse, making it pretty awkward to travel with in the process.
Optical sensor tracks better than most other mice I’ve used, including the HyperX Saga Pro and Glorious Model I2 Wireless. But it makes sense that it does, because the Viper V3 Pro is more esports-focused than the other two.

Razer claims the V3 Pro gets 95 hours of battery life at 1000 Hz, and I found it to be quite accurate when using the mouse for general day-to-day activities. While turning it up to 11 and using the mouse at 8000 Hz polling rate, however, battery life plummets, and you’re lucky to get 12 hours of use out of it. So, if you’re looking to game at the fastest refresh rate available, you may want to make sure you have a charge cable handy.
In my setup and testing, I found myself really wishing that Razer had added Bluetooth as a third connection mode for use across multiple devices. This isn’t a dig at the mouse as a whole, as I recognize most people only have one computer, but it made it quite hard to enjoy it both while working on my MacBook Air and playing games on my PC.
Software
Like every other Razer product, the Viper V3 Pro Faker Edition uses its in-house-made Synapse software.
Throughout its various menus, you’ll find pages to customize the action of each button, choose how you see your battery status, adjust your DPI and Polling Rate, and even an option to calibrate your mouse tracking for your specific mouse pad.

I use the GMK 2 desk mat from Glorious, and didn’t have any issues with accuracy while testing out the Viper V3 Pro.
The Verdict - 5/5
Man, this is a good mouse… and the first objectively “perfect” product I’ve used since starting Pickle Tech back in October 2024.
While I didn’t like the lack of Bluetooth connectivity, I can’t let it take away from the overall comfort and performance offered by the Viper V3 Pro Faker Edition.
It’s strictly marketed as an esports mouse, and BT is more of a productivity feature than anything else; it would be disingenuous for me to mark it down a point for something that hardly anyone is going to expect it to have.
